Day Spender ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy
explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Trip data: Trip names, dates, and destination countries
- Budget information: Category budgets and spending limits
- Expense records: Amounts, categories, and descriptions of expenses
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information
- We do not track your location
- We do not access your contacts or photos
- We do not use analytics or tracking services
Anonymous Purchase Support Identifier
- The app generates a random anonymous Support ID on your device
- This Support ID is not your real name, email address, phone number, or government identifier
- The Support ID is used only for purchase troubleshooting, entitlement lookup, restore support, and customer support workflows related to Premium
How We Use Your Information
All data you enter in Day Spender is stored locally on your device only. We do not:
- Upload your data to our servers
- Share your information with third parties
- Use your data for advertising or marketing
- Sell your personal information
Data Storage
- All trip and expense data is stored in a local database on your device using SQLite
- Your data remains on your device and is never transmitted to external servers
- If you uninstall the app, all local data is permanently deleted
- The app also stores a local cached Premium status and timestamp on your device so Premium checks can recover faster and continue working more gracefully when connectivity is limited
- The anonymous Support ID is stored locally on your device and is preserved when you use the in-app
Delete Data action
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your data within the app
- Delete: Delete individual expenses, trips, or all data via the app settings
- Export: Export your data for backup purposes
Third-Party Services
Day Spender uses a limited set of third-party services for billing and entitlement handling:
- Google Play Billing: Processes one-time Android in-app purchases for the Premium unlock
- RevenueCat: Helps the app fetch product pricing, read entitlement state, restore eligible purchases, and look up Premium support issues using the anonymous Support ID
These services are used only for purchase and entitlement handling. Google Play processes payment information directly. The app does not directly collect payment card details. RevenueCat may process purchase-related metadata, entitlement status, and the anonymous Support ID needed for Premium troubleshooting and restore support. Your trip, budget, and expense data remain stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers for billing purposes.
Restore Purchases
When you use Restore Purchases, the app asks RevenueCat and Google Play to re-check eligible purchases associated with the same store account. If a valid Premium purchase is found, the Premium entitlement is restored on the device. For purchase support, we may ask you to share your anonymous Support ID, your Google Play order ID if available, and a screenshot of the Premium screen.
Children's Privacy
Day Spender does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
